KINGSTON, Jamaica – The MBet Summit of Speed Trophy brings together seven horses at the Open Allowance level going six furlongs on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Caymanas Park.

The MBet Sprint Trophy is listed as the seventh event on the day.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis can be read below.

1 – EL PROFESOR finished 3 ½ lengths behind Madelyn’s Sunshine 28 days ago. There is a shift in the weights of seven pounds in favour of El Profesor, who if, the speed cracks will be pushing forward in the final two furlongs. The issue, as always, is which El Profesor will turn up?

2 – MADELYN’S SUNSHINE did well when coming to the Open Allowance grade for the first time on November 12. Madelyn’s Sunshine runs only one way and that is going to the front, and on November 12, she was caught in the final stride by Excessive Force, who went on to conquer the Mouttet Mile. Madelyn’s Sunshine will have to be caught.

3 – HOVER CRAFT is an obvious filler for his stablemate, Madelyn’s Sunshine.

4 – EAGLE ONE is another filler.

5 – DUKE was the surprise package in the Mouttet Mile coming from way behind to beat more accomplished rivals, finishing second. Six furlongs is much more to the liking of Duke, who has the ability and the experience to stay off the pace and then strike in the final splash. He was behind Madelyn’s Sunshine on November 12, over the same distance as the MBet Sprint.

6 – ALEXA’S DREAM has done remarkably well to reach this level. Alexa’s Dream tries Open Allowance for the second time and will catch on.

7 – GOD OF LOVE is once again stepping up to Open Allowance, after winning for the umpteenth time in Overnight. Usually does well when coming off a break, plus God of Love has the ability to stay close to the pacesetters and then come on for a finishing effort.
