War Hero provides jockey Jerome ‘Cranberry’ Innis with rare winner in fifth of 13

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Jerome “Cranberry” Innis rode only his second winner for the year aboard the Wilfred Chin trained War Hero in the just concluded fifth of 13 races at Caymanas Park.
It was an easy win for Innis as once he took over the lead from No Money Friend in the last furlong, the 11-year-old War Hero pulled away for a 5 ½ length victory.
Second went to rank 94-1 outsider Seriousmanipulator with third the finishing spot of Powerful Red.
Seriousmanipulator paid a whopping $501 to place.
Both the Hi-5 and the Superfecta were carried over to the sixth race.
