KINGSTON, Jamaica – After a series of favourites, it had to come and when it did, the upset came in the form of Diosa De Oro in the eighth of 10 races on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park.

Coming from the number one draw in the $550,000 - $500,000 claiming event run over seven furlongs, Diosa De Oro waited and waited with Tevin Foster in the saddle as Fifty Cents (Jemar Jackson – 4/1) set a blistering pace.

Slowly but surely, Foster started his move and when they entered the straight was third as Fifty Cents started to tire a bit. With about ¾ furlong left, Diosa De Oro drew level and then went on to score at odds of 22-1.

Fifty Cents was second with Dada’s Nala at 18-1 third.

The win by Diosa De Oro was the third on the day for Foster and also gave trainer Maurice Crooks an exceptionally rare winner.
