Tomohawk is the 2019 Front Runner

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tomohawk a full brother to Drummer Boy (Natural Selection - Preach Preacher) started his racing career with a facile victory in this year’s renewal of the Front Runner Dash. The Front Runner Dash is a two-year-old maiden event which is competed for over five furlongs round.

The race was torn apart after two horses, Chanae and Another Commander were both injured while in the starting gates leaving five horses to compete is this dash.

Tomohawk was slowly out of the gates as Powerman (Shane Ellis) set the early splits. Jockey Omar Walker made his move on Tomohawk with two furlongs to go and the rangy colt responded and put aside rivals with ease. Tomohawk won by eight lengths over Powerman. Crafty Zella Zeen was third.

Tomohawk who is trained by Wayne DaCosta won in a time of 1:02.2.
