Samantha Fletcher wins race named after ladies on Sonofaking

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Samantha Fletcher fittingly won the 60th anniversary race at Caymanas Park named after three female jockeys, Pat Norman, Azel Cowie and Georgina Sergeon when she guided Sonofaking to victory in a Maiden Condition event for five-year-olds and up run over four furlongs straight. This was the second of 10 races on this special Saturday card.

Trainer by Junior Panton, Fletcher watched the leaders from behind before making her move with a furlong to go getting the win over Struck by Grace (Christopher Mamdeen) with Ringo Starr (Raddesh Roman) third.

This was Fletcher’s seventh career win.
