Ronan’s Choice in the stewards’ room – official winner at 8-1

KINGSTON, Jamaica – After many attempts King Tavari ridden by Shane Ellis finally found a way to get by the winning post in front only to be disqualified after a stewards’ inquiry and a jockey’s objection by second placed rider Reyan Lewis aboard Ronan’s Choice.
King Tavari according to the official announcement was disqualified for causing interference and intimidation to Ronan’s Choice in the stretch run.
Ronan’s Choice trained by Patrick Lynch won the Charles Hussey Trophy – a Maiden Condition event for three-year-old colts and geldings run over seven furlongs.
Ronan’s Choice went off at odds of 8-1. Second was King Tavari and third Sir Ian Links.
