KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) family, staff, friends and the entire horseracing fraternity expresses deep condolences on the passing of Mr Richard Todd.
In a statement, the company in offering its condolences said: “We are deeply saddened by his sudden passing on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. He was a vital member of the Caymanas Park family, who will be sorely missed.”
A trainer since 1979, Mr Todd was a well- established, respected individual in the horseracing community who lived his passion for horseracing daily.
As the second of three generations of horsemen and a founding member and former president of the United Racehorse Trainers Association of Jamaica, Mr Todd actively lobbied for the welfare of his fellow stakeholders. He also served as Facilities Manager at SVREL from August 2017 to July 2019.
The team at Caymanas Park expresses thanks for his invaluable contribution to the fraternity of which he made a considerable impact, which will positively impact future generations.
