KINGSTON, Jamaica – With over 170 horses set to compete in 14 races tomorrow (December 1) on the Diamond Mile Race Day, the lot of punters to spot winners becomes very difficult. Gallopja.com tries its best at analysing all 14 races.

RACE ONE - Old stagers Hologram Shadow and Diferentgeneration, the mounts of brothers Tevin and Orlando Foster respectively should fight out this one along with Jolly D with young claiming apprentice Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle. The choice is Jolly D expected to start at 2-1.

RACE TWO – Here Laguna Point is going to receive a lot of the betting but Princess Brianna, Lady V and Sundance should command a lot of respect. Princess Brianna with Shane Ellis is the choice with expected final odds of 2-1.

RACE THREE – Tight race to choose a winner with Leekout, Danos La Paz and Ballon D’Or the leading trio. Dick Cardenas in his race to win the jockeys’ title should bring home Danos La Paz for himself, to move closer to Anthony Thomas and his trainer Anthony Nunes, the latter locked in battle with Wayne DaCosta for the trainers’ championship.

RACE FOUR – Another Vigorous, a known sprinter locks horns with the likes of Soy El Senor, Radical, Pakman, Lightning Lily and Ice Cold. Difficult to see Another Vigorous lasting 7 furlongs but for sure he will lead and will have to be caught. Lightning Lily, Radical and Soy El Senor can all sit off the pace and strike if Another Vigorous falters in the straight. Another Vigorous is, however, given another chance here.

RACE FIVE – Difficult for Giaconda to lose this one as it is not often Dane Nelson rides for Anthony Nunes.

RACE SIX – Aurelia’s Summer should provide Nunes with another winner but watch Ten Carats and Rockdale.

RACE SEVEN – All eyes will be on Earn Your Stripes who has been gobbling up the clock at exercise. Another Nunes inmate.

RACE EIGHT – The logical choice here is Party Princess but a chance is being taken with Photogenic expected to hit the tote board at 7-2. Also watch Cat’s Rigger and Buck Call. Photogenic to land this one.

RACE NINE – Orpheus after his prep run on Nov 17 should be able to handle rivals in this one. Main opponents are the enigmatic foreigner My Elle Belle, Birdie My Love and Royal Vibes.

RACE TEN – The form says Brandy and Dyna’s Pride, yet the choice in this one is Reggae Road a possible 3-1 shot.

RACE ELEVEN – Sendamessagetomama, Queens Highway, Nuclear Lava, and Ricky Ricardo are the principals in this 11th race with the choice being Queens Highway expected to start at 4-1.

RACE TWELVE – Quick sprint with Beltane the obvious choice but on such a well supported race day there has to be an upset and this race is ripe for such a possibility. Paintthistownred a possible 10-1 chance is preferred.

RACE THIRTEEN – The big one, the fourth running of the Diamond Mile should work itself out to be a straight duel between Will In Charge and She’s A Maneater both well drawn. After careful analysis, Will In Charge is the chosen one.

RACE FOURTEEN – The long race day ends with a strong and competitive 16 horse field of which greater betting emphasis is going to be placed on Garrincha, Graydon, Outrageous Taj, Exhilarate, Wilson and Lici’s Pepsi. The choice is outsider Lici’s Pepsi at a possible 10-1 starting price.
