KINGSTON, Jamaica – Once again the racing public is faced with no Overnight programme for the second raceday in a row.
Quickgallop.com understands that the problem of not getting horses officially nominated lies with some of the professionals in the industry – trainers, jockeys and grooms.
Many of these professionals have not been licenced as is required by the Rules of Racing. This comes after two extensions of the time period required for licencing by the governing body of the sport - the Jamaica Racing Commission.
Nominations for Saturday’s (April 6) race meeting have therefore been re-opened until 11:00 am tomorrow, April 4.
