KINGSTON, Jamaica – Nevada duly obliged in the Caymanas Saturday (May 15) eighth to earn a double on the day for jockey Anthony Thomas.
That second win for Thomas aboard Nevada trained by Owen Sharpe came in a five-year-old and upwards – non-winners of four – call run over 5 ½ furlongs.
It was easy going for Nevada all the way, as Thomas slotted the five-year-old bay mare behind the leaders after the start but that was not for long.
Thomas pushed Nevada to the front close to the turn for home and the encounter was over and done with for the rest winning by 7 ½ lengths.
Second was Heiroffire (Dick Cardenas) with third going to Baby Star (Javaniel Patterson).
