KINGSTON, Jamaica – I Realise pricked some ears during his emphatic victory in Division Two of the nine furlongs and 25 yards, Mr Lover Lover Trophy. The trophy event was for three-year-olds in the bracket of non-winners of two races.
I Realise (Anthony Thomas), racing at this level for the first time quickly challenged early pace setter Silent Mission (Reyan Lewis) rounding the first turn. Travelling smoothly down the backstretch, I Realise trained by Alford Brown, took sole control as the horses spun into the half-mile. It was then Prince Sanjay (Romario Spencer) surged from the pack passing the front runner.
Thomas prudently waited on I Realise until entering the stretch for the final two furlongs where he accelerated to get by Prince Sanjay going on to score by 5 ½ lengths.
Rainsville and Stomp The Rhythm both ran out to finish second and third respectively.
For Thomas it was his second winner on the day, while I Realise was achieving his second win from six starts.
