KINGSTON, Jamaica – Foreigner Go Deh Girl was the least favoured of the Anthony Nunes top three runners at 3-1 in the Princess Popstar Trophy event for juveniles run over 5 ½ furlongs but with Omar Walker at his riding best the dark bay filly pulled off what can be considered a mild upset in the Caymanas Park Saturday (Nov 14) second.

In a race with six runners of which Nunes saddled four starters, Walker pushed Go Deh Girl into the lead as expected leader Hoist The Mast (Dick Cardenas) was a bit tardy from her starting stall.

Further and Beyond (Dane Nelson) was with the early leader as Hoist The Mast quickly made up ground to joint Go Deh Girl on the front end.

The lead was exchanged several times entering the straight, but Walker kept Go Deh Girl on the inside rails with Hoist The Mast persistently challenging and even took the advantage while Further and Beyond was on the outside but not effective in his effort.

In a hard fought battle Go Deh Girl put her neck in front where it mattered most to record her second win from two starts with Hoist The Mast second and Further and Beyond the 1-2 favourite third.

The winning time was an eye catching 1:06.1.
