Four wins on the trot for Cartel in Caymanas Saturday fifth

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Cartel with Anthony Thomas aboard made it four wins from four starts in the Caymanas Saturday fifth.

Cartel latest win was done in an Optional Claimer ($750,000 - $700,000) travelling five furlongs straight.

The Gregory Forsyth trainee was with the leading pack from the off, with Thomas opting to keep his mount on the outside.

After entering the main track, Thomas brought Cartel to middle ground and the seven-year-old bay gelding pulled away to win by close to three lengths at odds of 3-5.

Second was Mr Ambassador (Daniel Satchell) at odds of 39-1 with Azaria (Paul Francis – 53-1) third.

Three of Cartel wins were accomplished under the care of Forsyth.
