KINGSTON, Jamaica – It is now two wins from two starts for the impressive three-year-old bay gelding Father Patrick.
Bred by Nuclear Wayne – Late Appeal and trained by Ian Parsard, Father Patrick sat behind the leader Custer before jockey Omar Walker decided to let go of the reins and Father Patrick responded quickly to enter the straight in front in the six-furlong Sir Howard Stakes for three-year-old non-winners of two. The Sir Howard is one of the prep races for the upcoming Classic races.
Toona Ciliata tried his best to catch Father Patrick in the straight but could not manage to do so finishing second just three-parts of a length behind the winner. Duke was third.
The winning time was 1:12.0.
