KINGSTON, Jamaica – Gallopja.com gives its analysis of the crucial Supreme Ventures sponsored Jamaica -Two-Year-Old Stakes to be run on Boxing Day (December 26) over a mile.
CORAZON: (2.b.f – Blue Pepsi Lodge – My Heartbeat) – Has done everything right thus far with a career which reads three wins from three starts ranging from five furlongs (1,000 metres) straight to seven furlongs (1,400 metres). Corazon is packed with class with the only issue being whether or not she can truly get the distance of a mile.
RUN THATCHER RUN: (2.ch.c – Fearless Vision – Ahwhofah) – A very surprising winner on debut. Seems to be a good horse in the making but to beat three of the top two-year-olds moving from five and a half furlongs to a mile might be asking just too much from Run Thatcher Run.
EARN YOUR STRIPES: (2.ch.c - Nuclear Wayne – Brown Sugar) –. In his first race, Earn Your Stripes looked very green and quite unconcerned with the task of racing. He then returned 15 days later over seven furlongs and delivered one of the more accomplished runs by a juvenile this season clocking an Overnight Allowance time of 1:25.3 for the distance. Earn Your Stripes oozes class and is given the nod over his also accomplished stablemates.
SCOOBERT: (2.ch. g – Nuclear Wayne – Miracle Doctor) – Has finished ahead of Earn Your Stripes before and given the uncertain nature of horse racing can do so again but really and truly defeating a more improved Earn Your Stripes once again is going to be quite a task.
ROJORN DI PILOT: (2.b.c – Liquidity – I’m Magic) –It is going to be rather difficult for a young horse at the start of their careers to move from five furlongs to a mile and beat good horses.
SUPREME SOUL: (2.ch.c Soul Warrior – Beware) –Supreme Soul has come along quite nicely at exercise and should show good improvement on Boxing Day. Seems to be lock for the quinella with Earn Your Stripes.
UNIVERSAL BOSS: (2.b.g – Casual Trick – Electrifying) - Universal Boss should be around especially in the early part of this race but should be outdone by his stable duo of Supreme Soul and Earn Yor Stripes.
