Dejae’s Boy gets Emancipation Day race programme off at 1-9

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dejae’s Boy after two runs under his belt put away the maiden’s tag when he defeated rivals by six lengths to win the Charles Randle Trophy which was the first of 10 races on the Emancipation Day card (Thursday, August 1) at Caymanas Park.

Ridden by Omar Walker in the four-furlong straight event, Dejae’s Boy went to the front and moved further and further away.

Second went to Elitist, which gave trainer Wayne DaCosta the opening exacta. Crafty Zella Zeen was third.

The winning time for four furlongs was 48.2.
