KINGSTON, Jamaica – After missing five race days and after returning last week without riding a winner, co-champion jockey Dane Nelson registered his first winning ride aboard the Victor Williams trained Star Lee.

That win for Nelson came in the Caymanas Saturday fifth where horse number 14 Robin’s Quest was a late non-starter.

Nelson although drawn on the outside sent Star Lee to the middle of the track as soon as the gates opened where they were prominent but not the leaders.

When they reached the main track, Nelson was busily using the whip in the left hand and Star Lee responded by drawing away as Sweet Medicine (Aaron Chatrie) came late with their final rattle.

Mansur Musur (Dane Dawkins) was third.
