KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Christopher Mamdeen continues to ride with the Midas touch, as after bringing home 7 winners over the last two race days, the young man got the ball rolling with Superbolt in the 1st of 10 races on today’s racing card at Caymanas Park.
Following a late injury to morning line favourite, Bad Boy Trump, it was smooth sailing for Mamdeen and Superbolt as the five-year-old bay horse set off in front and was never in danger of losing in the Optional Claiming ($650,000 - $600,000) event for four-year-olds and upwards run over 6 ½ furlongs. Superbolt is trained by Errol Waugh.
This was Mamdeen 29 winner for the year and his 45th overall.
Superbolt was claimed from the race for $650,000.
