KINGSTON, Jamaica – Slammer - a bay colt by Savoy Stomp – Fedora, the only maiden in the field of seven two-year-old runners cracked opened the Cash Pot ‘Only One For Me Trophy’ feature which was the Caymanas Saturday seventh at odds of 4-1.

Racing over six furlongs, as expected, it was the 2-5 favourite Prncsshootingstar (Oneil Mullings) who set off in front tracked closely by Golden Wattle (Linton Steadman) and Silent Mission (Anthony Thomas). Slammer (Dick Cardenas) and stablemate Perfect Brew (Oshane Nugent) were the last two out of their starting barriers.

Prncsshootingstar was still on the lead entering the straight as both Perfect Brew (on the outside) and Slammer (on the inside) started to make up significant ground.

Prncsshootingstar gave way as Perfect Brew took over with a furlong left in the race but no sooner had he done so his stablemate Slammer accelerated impressively to win this trophy race and give trainer Richard Azan a one-two finish. Silent Mission finished third.

The winning time was 1:14.2.
