KINGSTON, Jamaica – Break of Dawn ridden by apprentice Roger Hewitt came late to capture the first of 10 races as the 60th anniversary race day of racing at Caymanas Park got underway just moments ago.

Setting off at odds of 5-2, Break of Dawn, found his footing in the last furlong and a half in the Maiden Condition event run over a mile, blowing by Jamaican Storm (Shane Ellis) to win by over three lengths.

Third went to 8-5 favourite with apprentice Matthew Bennett in the saddle.

Break of Dawn gave trainer Neive Graham a rare winner.
