KINGSTON, Jamaica – Bajan jockey Simon Husbands who is currently wintering in Jamaica after again riding in North America brought home another winner, this time Shauna Cruise for trainer Edward Stanberry going a mile. This was in the third of 10 races at the Park.
After being slowly out of the box, Husbands slowly guided Shauna Cruise to be second coming into the straight and after a brief battle with First Selection (Anthony Thomas), pulled away for a 1 ½ length win.
The winning time for a mile was 1:45.0 with Shauna Cruise being the first winner in 2019 for Stanberry.
