KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tomorrow’s (February 9), 11-race card at Caymanas Park features the John Clifton Memorial Cup for three-year-olds fillies going six furlongs. This trophy race is divided into two sections with a number of first-time runners.
The first section, race number one, has attracted 10 starters.
The starters are:
1 – Desrianna by Rising Moon – Giacomo’s Pride – Has been on the exercise track and should perform well first time out.
2 – Pine Nut by Blue Pepsi Lodge – Jadore – Has raced twice already without showing anything of worth.
3 – Devine Lexie by Natural Selection – Preach Preacher – The most experienced of the lot who has never been in the reckoning and won’t do so again tomorrow.
4 – Miss Hazel by Rising Moon – Velocity – Racing for the first time with not much track work under her girth.
5 – Black River by Storm Craft – She Sell Off – Has been well prepared and has caught the eyes in the mornings but will have to run a big one to beat some of her other maiden rivals.
6 – Dora Lee by Strikeitwhileitshot – Back At You – Second time at the races and is still in the process of learning.
7 – Princess Lauren by Soul Warrior – Lipstick Lily – Has been steadily prepared by her trainer and is pretty ripe for action. Highly thought of to fight out this one.
8 – Out On A Limb -by Who’s Stayin On =- Storm Watch – Has some experience but is again going to be found wanting.
9 – Mystic Mama by Nuclear Wayne – Mama C – Experienced with six runs under her belt but her best bet in this one is a minor offering.
10 – Splendid Vision by Fearless Vision – Intensified – Comes to the races very well prepared for duty. The Anthony Nunes camp is on fire at this time and another winner is expected for now stable rider Robert Halledeen.

3 – Kiah by Taqarub – Princess Akeem – Word from the exercise track is that this filly has been working fairly well and might find a place on the board.
4 – Case Closed by Soul Warrior – Go Flint Go – Said to be working well for this her first outing and might even be there when the outcome is being decided.
5 – Super Stunner by Archarcharch – Shahaklie Slammer – Bred in utero filly racing for the first time. Has been doing quite well in the mornings and may even find a place at the finish.
6 – She Is Calling by Urban King – Citronella – Has raced once without showing anything.
7 – Gimmipalinka by Traditional – Power To Please – Came to the races just a week ago but was sent home by the vets. Now Gimmipalinka has returned and is said to be piping hot and ready to go.
8 – Nuclear Proud by Nuclear Wayne – Make Me Proud – The most experienced in the bunch but even that is not going to help in this one.
9 – Reggae Gone Grammy by Western Classic – Little Thunder – Has been touted in the past without delivering but tomorrow might be the right time. Well prepared and is going to run an improved race.
10 – What’s Your Story by Traditional – Right Marker – There will be no tales on the morrow.
