KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Caymanas Saturday card got off to an 11-1 start when Ocean Wave obliged, then in the just concluded second it was the turn of 16-1 chance Smoke Haze.

Smoke Haze with the little used Dennis Brown in the saddle for trainer Wayne Parchment took off in front and although threatened in the final furlong of the Maiden Special Weight contest for three-year-olds travelling 5 ½ furlongs, was never in any real danger of losing.

Smoke Haze won at odds of 16-1 with the Hi-5 wager returning a whopping $365,165, which was won by a sole player.

Brown was winning his second race for the year while Parchment was saddling his fifth.

Favourite at 4-5 on Above All Links (Anthony Thomas) was second with Sniper Man (Oshane Nugent) third.
