KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Orlando Foster who promised much at the start of his career but fell away continued his recent return to good form with a well-earned victory in the first of 9 races on today programme at Caymanas Park.

Foster aboard Smokey Topaz trained by Dennis Pryce, went to the lead early in the 5 ½ furlong contest in the $350,000 -$300,000.

Foster was quickly challenged for the front running slot by Okahumpka (Dane Dawkins), who he allowed to take over having taken the decision to race behind.

Okahumpka led in the straight with Smokey Topaz on the inside rails. Okahumpka held the advantage but Foster somehow got Smokey Topaz to rally and in doing so claimed the win by 1 ¾ lengths.

Second running on was Saint Michael (Raddesh Roman) with Mamacita (Andre Martin) third.
