KINGSTON, Jamaica – After many tries and many disappointments, jockey Mario Chong is finally a winner.

Chong, the son of trainer Albert Chong, had an easy task with an armchair ride on the Victory Williams trained Diamond League in the Caymanas Saturday eighth.

Diamond League went to the front from the off and was never in danger of losing. In the last furlong Diamond League was losing some ground but was so far ahead it did not matter.

Gorgeous Gift (Javaniel Patterson) with 7 ¼ lengths behind the winner in second with Commandante Lunar occupying the third slot.
