Foreigner Solid Approach puts it across locals in the second at 5-1

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Seven horses were declared to start in the second race – a Restricted Allowance II for native bred three-year-olds and maiden foreigners over 5 ½ furlongs.

Of the seven listed to start, six were local bred horses with only one foreigner in the line-up.

The lone outsider was Solid Approach, racing for the second time for trainer Gary Crawford and jockey Robert Halledeen.

As it turned out, Solid Approach went to the lead shortly after the starter let them go and was never challenged thereafter winning by 1 ¼ lengths in a time of 1:07.1.

Solid Approach won at odds of 5-1, with K D Rocket finishing second and Loose Ball third. The winning time was 1:07. 1.

Odds on favourite Mr LFCH was never in the running, finishing fourth.
