Foreigner Best Daughter Ever makes an impression with maiden victory

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three-year-old grey filly Best Daughter Ever bred in the United States let go of the maiden tag with a thrilling victory in the third race on the Sunday card at Caymanas Park.

The event a Restricted Allowance for three-year-olds – non-winners of two and maiden foreigners travelling 9 furlongs and 25 yards saw a blistering pace being set by Wifey Sez So (Trevor Johnson).

Jockey Andre Martin waited patiently on Best Daughter Ever before pouncing with three furlongs to go with Tomohawk (Anthony Thomas) bearing down on the outside.

In the final two furlongs, Best Daughter Ever was challenged by Tomohawk but that challenge was in vain as the foreigner pulled away impressively to record her first win.

Tomohawk was second with Royal Approach (Youville Pinnock third.

The winning time was an encouraging 1:57.1.
