KINGSTON, Jamaica – After a long wait for the start of the third race on today’s (Nov 13) card at Caymanas Park, as a rider was sought for Papito after nominated jockey Raddesh Roman was injured in the race before, it was Dorthebutcher who came home victorious.

Racing from the seven draw with apprentice Jordan Barrett aboard Dorthebutcher took the path alongside the stand rails in the five furlong straight offering among three-year-old maidens.

Surprisingly it was King Rael (Dennis Brown) who showed unusual speed over the first three furlongs before Barrett shook up  Dorthebutcher trained by Patrick Fong, and the horse responded with a surge which took her to the winning post – two lengths – ahead of first timer Kay Boy (Orlando Foster) at odds of 91-1. Third went to Papito with Paul Francis atop.

Dorthebutcher was the second winner on the day thus far for trainer Fong.
