KINGSTON, JAMAICA – Jockey Anthony Thomas took home his second winner, Unknown Soldier in the sixth of 10 races on the 2000 Guineas race day currently in progress at Caymanas Park.

Thomas had earlier won on Kingswood for trainer Errol Waugh.

Trained by Spencer Chung, Unknown Soldier shot to the lead from the number one draw in the field of 13. All 13 were vying for honours in a Restricted Allowance V contest – non winners of three races (four-year-olds) travelling six furlongs.

Once Unknown Soldier was in front there was no turning back as he skittered away to win by 2 ½ lengths.

Second was Baby Star the 6-5 favourite with third place occupied by Celebration.
