KINGSTON, Jamaica – Sunday (September 13) racing at Caymanas Park got off to a 7-1 start courtesy of Biblical Legend.

Biblical Legend guided by apprentice Roger Hewitt for trainer Phillip Lee earned her success in an Optional Claimer ($450,000 – $400,000) for three-year-olds and upwards travelling 7 ½ furlongs.

The race was thrown wide open following the late withdrawal of hot ante-poste favourite Dontae.

When the starter pushed his button, it was Chris Mamdeen who flashed his mount Fabulosity from the wide outside to the front tracked closely by Biblical Legend and Radical (Robert Halledeen).

After three furlongs were completed Biblical Legend took over but that was for a short while as Radical spurted to the front – entering the straight with the advantage.

Now running on the outside, Biblical Legend found extra to dismiss Radical and also found a tad more as Luana (Anthony Thomas) challenged relentlessly in the final furlong.

Biblical Legend got home by a neck over Luana with Radical third.
