KINGSTON, JAMAICA – His visits to the winners’ enclosure has been very rare yet today (July 26) apprentice Calvin Bailey is a proud jockey after piloting Action Run to victory in the seventh race on the 2000 Guineas card moments ago at Caymanas Park.

Action Run known for his speed did not falter as Bailey pushed his mount to the lead in the seven furlong call for horses in the bracket of four-year-olds and upwards non-winners of three.

Action Run pulled away from rivals leaving the half mile and entered the straight with the advantage and Roy Rogers (Paul Francis) chasing. Others like Coco Chanel and Big Bang and Coco Chanel still had a lot to do.

With Bailey riding as if his life depended on it, Action Run kept fighting and when the wire came the duo was a neck in front of Roy Rogers and Coco Chanel.

Bailey was having his second career winner from 23 rides.
