THE QUICK GALLOPER turns back the hands of time to the 11 starters in the 2021 Jamaica Oaks to find out, where are they now.
FIRST – She’s A Wonder has been hampered by health issues which has curtailed the number of appearances on the track. She recently returned at the Overnight level to win convincingly. Now, in Open Allowance the progress of She’s A Wonder will be followed closely.
SECOND – Amy The Butcher after her courageous three-length second in the Oaks has been plagued by injuries. This has limited her number of starts. Following a recent change of stables, Amy The Butcher won two in a row. Her injuries have limited possibilities.
THIRD – Ianzha Links did well in the Oaks and has not gone on. Has not raced in a while.
FOURTH – Action Ann has promised much but has not been able to deliver. She too has been hampered by injuries.
FIFTH – Sweet Majesty has not come on since.
SIXTH – Heavenly Glitter is still in and around these days without making an impact.
SEVENTH – Secret Identity has developed nicely since the Oaks run, yet her race track appearances have been limited. Now in Open Allowance, Secret Identity seems to be at her best sprinting.
EIGHTH – Labyca has not been heard from since.
NINTH – Katalina is still around.
TENTH – Awesome Choice has not shown anything since the Oaks.
ELEVENTH – Artesia is still around.
