KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three-year-old chestnut colt Weekend Jazz, again displayed his love for the five straight, with another victory over the course.

That win by Weekend Jazz ridden by Oshane Nugent and trained by Byron Davis was his third career win and all have been achieved while coming down the straight.

Today, dawn at one, in a Restricted Stakes for three-year-olds and upwards, Weekend Jazz quickly tacked across to mid-track as Basilicus – shot off in front on the outside.

Entering the main track Voytex (Dick Cardenas) took over and started to pull away but Nugent brought Weekend Jazz with his winning run, and in the end won by 1 ½ lengths.

Voytex was second and Rum With Me (Dane Dawkins) third.

The winning time was 58.3 seconds.
