KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was so easy for Universal Boss as the four-year-old bay gelding earned his fourth career victory, this time is an Optional Claimer ($1,000,000 - $850,000) for four-year-olds and upwards non-winners of four running over a distance of 6 ½ furlongs.

Drawn at post-position one with Simon Husbands in the saddle, Universal Boss moved quickly alongside the rails to be with the earlier leaders, stablemate Baltusrol (Dane Nelson – 7-1) running without the nominated tongue tie on and Kingsman (Omar Walker – 4/5) on the outside.

Universal Boss then responded to the request to go from Husbands leaving the three-furlong marker and that was that for the rest of the nine runners as Universal Boss was imperious in victory winning by 5 ¼ lengths over Baltusrol and Royal Aviator. The final time was a fast 1:19.0.

This was the second win on today’s card for champion trainer Anthony Nunes.
