Trevor Simpson strikes on Polly Flyer

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Popular 5-time former champion jockey, Trevor ‘Slicer’ Simpson brought home his second winner since returning for his annual break of riding in the United States piloting the Steven Todd trained Polly Flyer in a maiden event for 4-year-olds and up over seven and a half furlongs.
Polly Flyer running at odds of 5-2 beat 15-1 shot Lambana by 2 ½ lengths with 7-2 chance Break of Dawn third. This was the second of 10 races on the January 5, Saturday programme currently underway at Caymanas Park. It was a one-two finish for Todd.
Polly Flyer ran the 7 ½ furlongs in 1:36.4.
Pure Heart the 3-5 on favourite ended in fifth place.
