KINGSTON, Jamaica – Crucial Ride under the guidance of hot apprentice Reyan Lewis brought the Patrick Lynch trained Crucial Ride with a well calculated late surge to win the second of 10 races on the Labour Day card at Caymanas Park some five minutes ago.
Crucial Ride racing as a 2-1 chance caught the long-time leader Kiss of Love an even money chance with apprentice Tevin Foster in the saddle and went on to win the Maiden Special Weight event for four-year-olds and up run over five furlongs round by two lengths. Third was the 4-5 favourite Black Point.
Brexit number 6 was a late non-starter.
Lewis was winning his 36th race of the year and his 44 overall.
