Toona Ciliata makes more gains for Nunes

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Anthony Nunes made it win number two in the third race – the Royal Lancaster Trophy for 2-year-olds run over five furlongs round as Toona Ciliata the 1-9 favourite duly obliged with Shane Ellis in the saddle at Caymanas Park a short while ago.

By winning this event plus the money earned from the trophy, Nunes has cut down the lead in the trainer’s championship currently held by Wayne DaCosta to just under $1 million. Nunes based on a preliminary count leads DaCosta by approximately $575,000 on today's card.

Second was first timer Oh Soo True (Samantha Fletcher) at 99-1 with Roy Rogers (Reyan Lewis) third at 5-1.

The winning time was 1:00.2 for the distance of 5 furlongs round.
