KINGSTON, Jamaica – The eighth event on the Saturday programme of October 1, 2022, is for three-year-old maidens going 5 ½ furlongs.
Nine horses are entered with THE QUICK GALLOPER analysis offered below.
– SHE’S MY FRIEND is a bay filly (May 10) by Natural Selection out of My Friend Lucy trained by Jason DaCosta with Reyan Lewis aboard. Has been trying to get off the mark for a while but blows hot and cold. Maybe the rider change from Chris Mamdeen to Reyan Lewis will make a difference. Note, that She’s A Friend races with the tongue tie on.
– XCEPTIONAL BABZ is a chestnut filly (May 5) by Sensational Slam out of Jesse’s Favorite trained by Norman Smith with Phillip Parchment aboard. Another learning exercise for this filly.
– NORTH LONDON is a bay filly (May 8) by Savoy Stomp out of Right Marker trained by Ryan Darby with Matthew Bennett aboard. Showed promise early in her career but has come off the boil. Needs time.
– STORM A COME is a bay colt (March 9) by Storm Craft out of Terra Marique trained by Patrick Lynch with Tevin Foster on board. Lost ground going a mile on September 24, making the reduction in distance better for this colt. The change of equipment should also assist. Note, that Storm A Come races with the blinkers on and the tongue tie off.
– CALL THE EMPEROR is a bay gelding (April 1) by Emperor Hall out of Call For A Cat trained by Carl Anderson with Roger Hewitt aboard. Although coming on, Call The Emperor will have to wait.
– FOUR FIVER is a bay filly (February 12) by Nasheet out of Missy Moss trained by David Lee Sin with Aaron Chatrie aboard. Learning her trade.
– MANACO is a chestnut colt (April 9) by Lion Tamer out of The Golden One trained by Anthony Nunes with Carlos Blake aboard. Manaco has placed in all but one of his six career starts. He is well rested and the trip is to his liking.
– GIVEMETHELIGHT is a grey colt by Nasheet out of Skipping Sue trained by Gary Griffiths with Nicholas Hibbert aboard. Experienced colt who is rounding into form. Will earn.
– FUNOMETER is a dark bay colt (April 12) by Traditional out of Opulent trained by Anthony Nunes with Anthony Thomas aboard. A model of consistency, Funometer is cherry ripe for this engagement, especially after his close (short head) finish behind Justin Biden.
