KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Samantha Fletcher based on preliminary checks became the first female rider to bring home three winners on a single race day in Jamaica.

Fletcher after piloting Cat’s Rigger and Just Trick Me to victory earlier on the day, closed her historic triple on Honey Bunch trained by Gresford Smith in the Caymanas Monday eleventh.

It was a peach of a ride by Fletcher who came from well behind leader Paraiso (Linton Steadman) in the final furlong to claim the win and seal her place in history.

Just for the records, the Caymanas Monday 11th was for three-year-old maiden horses travelling six furlongs.
