KINGSTON, Jamaica – After finishing second the four times she has raced in her career, Black River entered the winner’s column just a short while ago at Caymanas Park when under the guidance of apprentice Kiaman McGregor the filly won the eighth race - a Maiden three-year-old condition race over 8 ½ furlongs.
Black River prominent throughout and then went on her merry way inside the final furlong to record a seven-length victory over 11-1 outsider Ali who was just a head in front of 7-5 chance Scoobert.
Black River gave apprentice Kiaman McGregor his second winner thus far on the card.
