KINGSTON, Jamaica –Champion jockey Anthony Thomas and leading trainer Anthony Nunes joined forces to score with Earn Your Stripes in the fifth race on the Easter Monday programme at Caymanas a short while ago.
The original field of seven was reduced to five after the late withdrawal of Harry’s Train and Hot Ice.
It was an easy win for Thomas, as he held Earn Your Stripes off the pace set by American Invader and had more than enough when Legality challenged early in the stretch drive.
Legality was second with My Super Girl third.
The event was a Restricted Stakes run over 7 ½ furlongs. The splits were 23.4 x 46.3 x 1:10.4 for a winning time of 1:32.3.
