KINGSTON, Jamaica – American bred, three-year-old dark bay gelding Stranger Danger (Baffum – Casual Kiss), seeks his fifth successive victory this time running as a new entrant in the Open Allowance grade.
The race in question is listed as the fifth on the 10-race mid-week package at Caymanas Park tomorrow, April 3 and will be run over a mile or eight furlongs.
The journey of a mile is the longest Stranger Danger is attempting having won over 5 ½, 6, 7 and 6 ½ furlongs.
This horse trained by champion Wayne DaCosta packs a lot of class plus he has been training well and should have no problems dealing with his five rivals to make it win number five.
The main competition for Stranger Danger should be Houdini’s Magic from the barn of leading trainer Anthony Nunes.
Houdini’s Magic last two runs, third to Money Magnet going 6 ½ furlongs and then second to Superluminal over 7 ½ furlongs are clear indicators that, Houdini’s Magic is in fine fettle. Yet to win tomorrow, Houdini’s Magic has to make all his strides perfect.
The other participants in this event, Secret Traveller, Winter Is Coming, Hover Craft and Drummer Boy should have a royal fight for the third slot.
The Quickgallop.com morning line betting is as follows:
Stranger Danger – 2/5 - Houdini’s Magic – 7/2
Hover Craft – 9/2 - Drummer Boy – 8/2
Secret Traveller – 10/1 - Winter Is Coming – 45/1
