KINGSTON, Jamaica – Racing fans are in for a real threat over the next two scheduled race days.
The first day is Saturday, September 26. On that day, the 94th running of the Jamaica St Leger (10 furlongs or 2,000 metres) will be contested. The long awaited rematch of Wow Wow and Mahogany should set alight even those who have a mere passing acquaintance with the sport of horse racing.
Also on Saturday which has been officially dubbed ‘St Leger Day’, the possibility exists of a clash involving the top rated horse in the country Toona Ciliata and one of the stars of last year, Stranger Danger, who is on the rebound after injuries have stifled his career.
The second race day is Sunday, September 27. On that day, race goers should see the return of the 2018 St Leger winner Marquesas.
