Smashing run by Another Vigorous, defends local stock in style

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fifth race at Caymanas Park today, an Open Allowance contest over five furlongs round was expected to be a cracker and true to form it proved to be as predicted.
Another Vigorous under a good ride from apprentice Christopher Mamdeen shot to the front from the off and although pressed by first Exhilarate (Robert Halledeen) and Patriarch (Raddesh Roman) was never bothered as the young apprentice just kept Another Vigorous going and when challenged in the straight by the foreigner filly Hilly’s Halo had more than enough to win by 1 ¼ lengths.
It was a defining win by the Rowan Mathie trained four-year-old bay gelding by Legal Process – Miss Nickels who clocked a fast 58.3 for the distance setting splits of 22.3 x 45.2.
Second was Hilly’s Halo with Patriarch third.
This was the second win on the card for Mamdeen.
