KINGSTON, Jamaica - Trainer Howard Jaghai saddled his first winner for the season when his charge Runway Icon won a native-bred four year olds and upward (non-winners of two) and imported four year olds and upwards (maidens) for fillies and mares over 6 furlongs (1,200m).

Ridden by Tevin Foster, Runway Icon broke keenly at the start in second place behind Princess Tiffany (Natalie Berger) before surging to the front of the field passing the 5-furlong (1,000m) marker. As expected, Runway Icon gathered momentum navigating the half-mile (800m) turn and entering the lane with a strong lead on the field.

With no one really coming forward to challenge Runway Icon, the four-year-old roan colt cruised home to score by 4 ½ lengths ahead of Riddim (Ramon Nepare) and Princess Sylvia (Dane Dawkins). The final time for the race was 1:15.3 (23.0 x 47.2).
