KINGSTON, Jamaica – Royal Aviator continued the trend of favoured horses winning thus far on the Caymanas Friday programme.

Ridden by Daniel Satchell and trained by Ryan Darby, in a three-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming event ($250,000 - $200,000) run over seven furlongs, Royal Aviator was slowly out but the young apprentice was not flustered and gently bided his time through the field.

It was a tussle on the headlines involving several horses who interchanged the lead. In the stretch drive, Bay Commander with Dane Nelson appeared on the scene but was quickly caught by Royal Aviator who went on to win by 4 ½ lengths.

Bay Commander was second and Nala’s Bushman coming late was third with Shane Ellis in the saddle.
