KINGSTON, Jamaica – Mirabilis under a patient ride by apprentice Reyan Lewis was just able to win the third race on the Saturday (August 3) card at Caymanas Park.

Lewis watched from fourth position as old timer Phineas (Kiaman McGregor) and Holy Light (Romario Smith) battled for the lead with Ballon d’Or (Chris Mamdeen) just behind.

In the stretch drive for the Optional Claiming ($450,000 - $400,000) event for three-year-olds and up run over 7 ½ furlongs, Phineas was still the leader with Mirabalis making his move on the outside. Mirabilis got the upper hand but Phineas, the old warrior was never giving up.
