RACE TYPE: Three-year-olds Restricted Maiden Condition

DISTANCE: Four furlongs straight

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Not even interference when the gates opened could stop Colawill taking the second race on the Caymanas Sunday card.

As a result of the interference jockey Carlos Blake on Colawill, racing with the visor off and blinkers on, had to move from the outside rails but this did not hamper the three-year-old bay filly.

Colawill trained by Marlon Anderson came through in the final furlong to get the lead and then held off the challenge of second placed Nina Dorado and Miss AJC who passed the post in third place.

After a stewards’ inquiry, Miss AJC was disqualified from third and placed out of the race for causing the fall of jockey Orlando Foster on Queen Deftiny.

For trainer Anderson, Colawill was his third winner this season while for jockey Blake it was his second from 22 rides in 2020.
