KINGSTON, Jamaica – Panamanian born jockey Ameth Robles and trainer Errol “Little Sub” Subratie joined forces with even money (1-1) Evasive Action to win their first race each in 2019.
The win for Robles and Subratie came in the fourth of 10 on today’s (May 15, 2019) card at Caymanas Park.
Robles had to be at his best to get the win as from the off he was hounded by Mistrial (Kiaman McGregor) and even in the straight Mistrial took over the lead but the Panamanian got down to some heavy pushing to get his mount home by three-parts of a length. Third was Sonofaking.
Evasive Action won a Maiden Condition event for five-year-olds and up competed for over 5 ½ furlongs in a very slow time of 1:12.2.
