Peking Cruz, Nuclear Flight clash in hot sprint – Nuclear Flight given the edge

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A thriller of a sprint is expected to unfold on Wednesday (March 27, 2019), as Open Allowance horses are pitted against each other in a 5 ½ furlongs event. Eleven races are down for contention on the mid-week card.
The main protagonists are going to be Nuclear Flight, Peking Cruz and the always game Another Bullet.
Nuclear Flight did her best on last when her trainer Gary Subratie asked her to run over 7 ½ furlongs just about three weeks ago. Nuclear Flight although beaten was far from being disgraced. The distance took its toll and now Nuclear Flight is back to a trip she is much better suited and from the number one will not be denied easily.
Peking Cruz has proven his mettle in this grouping and now stepping down a grade, has a glorious chance of taking this one despite carrying top weight.
Peking Cruz and Nuclear Flight have developed a competitive rivalry which should see both giving no quarter come tomorrow. Peking Cruz is better off in the handicaps compared with Nuclear Flight and may yet gain the upper hand.
Another Bullet is the epitome of toughness and resilience and cannot be thought of lightly. He will be doing his best in the straight after sitting close to the case.
Of the others, Secret Traveller, Bimini, Adonis, Pakman and Exhilarate at best can only hope for a minor place on the result board.
